Post Another Phishing PayPal Email ~ Dear PayPal customer . . .
I wanted to pass this along to everyone, even though I think we all know by now NOT to believe these emails when we receive them in our email accounts as the real thing. One thing I wanted to point out, is that if you will just copy and paste the context of the email into a word document and check the spelling and grammar, you will usually find a few errors in these "Phishing Emails" every time, as I did with this one.

Here it is:

Quote:
Dear PayPal customer,

During our regularly scheduled account maintenance and verification procedures, we have detected a slight error in your account information.

This might be due to either of the following reasons:

• A recent change in your personal information ( i.e.change of address).
• Submitting invalid information during the initial sign up process.
• An inabillity to accurately verify your selected option of payment due to an internal error within our processors.

Due to this, we require you to confirm and verify your account information by following the link below:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_login-run

If your account information is not confirmed and verified within a certain period of time then your ability to access your account would become restricted.

Sincerly,
PayPal

PayPal Email ID PP098

Note: Remember, a company the size of PayPal can afford to hire a proficient individual to send out their notices if need be.

If you think you’ve received a phishing email:
1. Forward the email to spoof@paypal.com
2. Delete the email

Be on the safe side
Go to the My Account tab of your PayPal account and click History to check your transaction history for inaccuracies.

Hope this information is helpful to some of you.
