              Special Pastry for Strawberry Pie: 3/4 cup sifted flour						 ½ cup rolled oats, uncooked					 3 Tablespoons water ½ teaspoon salt 1/3 cup shortening

              Pie Filling: 1 quart fresh strawberries					 1 cup sugar							 red food coloring 3 Tablespoons corn starch ¾ cup water

                Instructions: | 
            
            
              
              Special Pastry for Strawberry Pie:
  Mix together the flour, salt and oats.  Add shortening and water.  Roll out and place in dish.  Let rest 5 minutes, then prick.  Spray baking dish with PAM®.  Bake at 425º oven about 12-15 minutes.  Cool.
  Pie Filling:
  Fill baked pie crust with berries.  Cook 1 cup berries with water about 3 minutes.  Add sugar and corn starch.  Color with food coloring.  Cook until thick; cool.  Pour glaze over berries in pie shell.  Place in refrigerator.  Serve with whipped cream.
