Ingredients:

1 cup butter
2 1/2 cups flour (sifted)
2 eggs
1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla, lemon or almond
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup blanched almonds

Cooking Instructions:

Cream butter, add sugar then well-beaten eggs, nuts and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon and baking powder. Mix thoroughly. Roll onto floured board and cut into shapes. Brush over dough with egg whites. Bake in greased pan 375 degrees for about 7 minutes.
