Cooking
Instructions: |
1. Bring water to a boil, add bouillon cubes, butter and salt. Add rice. When bouillon cubes dissolved, stir. Cover and simmer 25-30 minutes.
NOTE: Let rice stand a little to dry out after cooking. Make early in the day.
2. Brown 1 pound bacon (cut) until crisp. Remove bacon from heat and excess drippings, reserving some to fry eggs. Slightly beat 10 eggs and pour in hot bacon drippings. Add rice and 2 onions, diced. Mix together. Add bacon, any leftover pieces of pork, beef or ham, chopped into pieces. Last, add soy sauce to taste until rice is as brown as you like. Stir well and cook on low heat 14-20 minutes.
