1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
6 T milk
1 T vinegar
|
3 c diced apples
2 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 t cinnamon
2 1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt

Instructions: |
Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs. Add 6 tablespoons sour milk. (Put 1 tablespoon vinegar in cup and add milk)7nbsp; Add diced apples and mix all ingredients together. Mix together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt and then add to creamed mixture.7nbsp; Turn into 13 x 9 x 2 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Frosting:
4 T butter
4 T milk
3/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c nuts
Mix all above ingredients together and spread over hot cake. Broil until bubbly (3-5 minutes) |
